I had been working on this for a long long time. Desinging and and re-designing. Until finally reaching some what of a stopping point. I have finally completed my portfolio, check it out!

These are developing times: 5 time saving ideas

Friday, November 7th, 2008

As of late I have been struggling to keep the work I love, work I love. Everyone deals with lack of motivation for projects or even lack of motivation for continued research on new methods and trends. There are times that I will not code all day and then stay up all night because I find myself in love with my work again. Because that is exactly what I did last night and now it is the morning I have decided to make a list of solutions to defeat my sleepless nights and still have fun filled days.

  1. Do work in chunks: This way there is never too much time focused on just one project or task and the best work will get done.
  2. Lists: Make a list of goals for the day and really complete it. The end of the day will be so much more rewarding.
  3. Stay Focused: Create breaks for “black hole web sites” like Facebook and Digg and set a time limit. (luckily I hate myspace)
  4. Reward Accomplishment: If a large task has been completed have a mini party!
  5. Exercise: Wether it be push ups, a bike ride or even finger crunches to avoid carpal tunnel. Don’t sit on your ass all day.
That is pretty much it. I am hoping to make these changes in my schedule to de-funk my current work habits so I can be a happier developer.

iheartcode RSS Widget is here

Saturday, September 6th, 2008

iheartcode RSS WidgetSo I took around 20 minutes out of my day today and decided to wrap up the Iheartcode RSS Widget. You are more than welcome to hit it up on the Stuff page. I’m pretty to excited to have finally executed a widget, as straight forward as it was. I am looking forward to more advanced development. Now I’m off to finally deposit a check from a client that I have been waiting almost 2 months for. Yay!

Happy Coding!

Widget and iPhone Web App on the way

Friday, September 5th, 2008

After working more kinks out of iheartcode last night I decided to start production on a simple RSS widget for Mac users’ Dashboard and a Web App for iPhone useres. This is not the first widget I have done, so I am expecting to have that up in a few hours. This is however the first iPhone Web App I have made so I have plans to leave that on the burner for a minute or so. Don’t forget to pop over to the Stuff page to snag desktop backgrounds for your computer or iPhone. That is is also where any downloadable content will be available. Ok, I think it is lunch time and then back to development.

Happy coding!
